Best Places to Buy Ties Online
Just looking for some opinions on where you think the best places to look for ties online are. Looking for ties in the $50-$125 neighborhood that SA interns could wear.
Thanks

Actually pretty cool/trendy and decent quality. All ties are $15 I believe. I bought a few to test the quality, and I was pleasantly surprised. Heard about them through some random GQ article
Beat me to it. The ties are more than adequate for an SA.
I can attest to the good quality of their ties.
+1 for the tie bar

Come in $5, $10,$15,$20 and $25. Most are silk too
+1 for the tiebar. Awesome quality/price and huge selection.
The Tie Bar is a great suggestion, but if you really want to buy ties in the $50 to $125 price range, either out of vanity or not, this is one of the only times I think places like Gilt and MyHabit are good places to shop. I've seen ties from brands like Valentino, Yves St. Laurent, Brioni, and Hermès on these sites (YSL ties were priced around $65, Brioni around $80, and Hermès at $125). Mind you, like everything else on Gilt/MyHabit, a lot of these products are expressly made for sale on these websites, so you won't be getting the same quality ties as if you walked into a boutique on Rodeo Drive, but you'll be getting the logo and the brand name if that stuff means anything to you (not sure how big the drop-off in quality is either since the Brioni and Hermès ties were still handmade in Italy and France respectively..probably just the silk they use).
That said, you're an SA...no need to ball out just yet.
why do you need such an expensive tie for SA?
Sorry yeah I didn't realize $50-$125 was considered expensive for ties as I had never really needed to buy them before. I ended up buying 5 from the tie bar that seemed conservative/decent for a SA.
Wow, thank you all for the TieBar. Wow.
IMO, I bought a nice tie from Brooks. I love Vineyard Vines ties also. I like whimsical patterns and stuff.
I wouldn't buy ties online. Color and feel (how it ties) is too important.
I sell ties all the latest trend colours and i also ship all over the world just take a look you will be very happy wiith our prices johnsons-formal-clothing. ebid. net/

What width are y'all rocking these days? 3'"?
I'm a thinner/smaller guy, so I think the 3" works for me. I would say 70% of my ties are 3.5" though, and a lot of the newer ties I bought are 3".
charles tyrwhitt currently has a buy 1 get 2 free on ties (comes out to 33 a piece). pretty good quality ties
Myhabit has gone downhill. Now they charge for return shipping. No way will I be taking the risk to buy ties or anything else from there anymore when I get charged every time I return. Designer shit is too unpredictable.
Ralph Lauren's having a sale on most black label ties at the moment. Still pretty pricy at around $90 a pop, but they're damn nice. Very sleek.
Im probably going to order some ties from the tiebar. What material, width, and length (I'm 5'7", so I am assuming regular length 58 inches) would you recommend? Also, which patterns should I avoid? I'm thinking of just getting plain ties to be safe, idk.
I usually stick to slimmer ties with ~3.25" width.
Stripes and more muted patterns work best.
Just bought some from thetiebar.com. We'll see how they are when they come it.

I get my ties off of NecktiesForSale.Com
The only thing about tiebar is that a tie I ordered isn't as thick as I'd like, which affects how it falls (length). I hate when a tie falls below the belt.
Barneys Warehouse has solid deals. Got a Broini for like $75bucks. I love the small, silk screen print ties so I usual buy Vineyard Vines/Ferragamo/Hermes/Pink etc whenever they are on sale/find a good deal. I might cop some stuff off ebay and see how it goes.
@TNA: Hermes, Ferragamo? No one gives you the weird look for wearing ties that are considered "MD" level?:-)
Hahaha, no. And everyone knows how much I like animals so it fits.
