Best Professors
We spend a lot of time rubbishing our professors on this forum. Let's have a topic dedicated to those of the teaching profession who possess the ability to effortlessly transfer knowledge from them to us. One of my favorite is Stephen B. Smith of Yale University. His lectures on Political Philosophy are truly exceptional from his voice to the way explain theory of politics.
Looking forward to see some responses.
100% chance you made this post to brag that you went to a target school lmao
Nope, went to UC. My professor was a rambler so I went to Stephen B Smith to actually understand the thing. Thanks for the correction my lord
Also, "his lectures is..." should be "his lectures are." Maybe pay more attention to an English professor, slugger.
The best professor I've had is the Universe. When I communicate to the Universe that I seek knowledge, the Universe obliges.
principal Mr. Belding
For me, it was Aswath Damodaran, he's a professor of finance at NYU. He helped me understand valuation more intuitively than the guides out there.
Also he's down to earth and doesn't speak in the typical finance jargon. I actually brought him in an interview and it went great.
Huh. You brought a famous professor with you to an interview? Explain.
Target kids just aren't what they used to be. Wait - is NYU still a target?
*Brought him up in an interview.
Hope that clarifies.
Drew Pascarella at Cornell. Brilliant guy, down to earth, cares for his students.
Maureen O'Hara at Cornell, too. She's one of the funniest professors I've ever had, and she's an absolute genius.
Richard Thayler at UChicago. Read his book "Nudge", the guy has seriously great insights on how to make the most impact with the least effort.
Jordan Peterson. Listen and learn.
Ah yes. I, too, enjoy watching the lectures of Professor Clean Your Room from my parents' basement
