Best pub in London
Just wanted to get the ball rolling, to get some of the Londoners dreaming of a post-pandemic pint. What does everyone think is the best pub in London?
Two I anticipate will come up immediately are the Anglesea Arms and the Phene.
Other than that, a few I like are the Lamb (incredible interior), ye Olde Mitre and Cittie of Yorke.
Thoughts?
Dirty Weatherspoons always does the trick
spoons is up there. top tier pubs. they make any airport trip an adventure of limitless proportions
You nailed mine with Anglesea Arms
Anglesea for sure!
lamb and flag is cool because of all the history behind it. though not a pub, Gordon’s wine bar is good
If we're being serious, I think Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese on Fleet Street has to easily be in the top 3. Super cool interior, quite historic and a classic.
Hehe, GS intern class of 2017 have some wicked stories from this place... Some won’t ever be able to show their faces there again.
My top 5 in no particular order:
Anglesea Arms (SK) Drayton Arms (Earls Court) Admiral Codrington (Chelsea) The Westbourne (Notting Hill) The Marylebone (Marylebone)
From my 4 day trip in London, I was extremely disappointed with pub quality in London. Pubs had very poor quality beer, and not too much to choose from..
However, your cocktail bars are awesome and inexpensive. Shout out to Shoreditch, where I almost lost my fking liver.
yeet shoreditch curry #1
The Crown and Sugarloaf, Fleet Street.
great bloody pub
