Best resource for learning about investing strategies?
Current undergrad that just received a full time offer at an EB (EVR, PJT, CVP) M&A team. I’m interested in pursuing a career in PE / HF after getting some experience in banking and want to start building out a portfolio in the public markets to learn more about how they work. What are some good resources to learn more about public equity investing strategies? Any recommendations for starting to invest? I have a very high risk tolerance and just want to learn as much as I can.
Thank you!

You can build your portfolio however you want and read whatever books you want but you’re gonna need to know your stocks really well if you want to flush out your portfolio in future interviews. No point having a well performing portfolio if you can’t explain why you picked each of them in detail.
I appreciate the heads up. Any specific aspects of stock picks that tend to be the most commonly focused on in interviews? Like when I’m building this out what sort of things should I really hone in on?
