Best Sweatpants/Joggers

Always in the market for some more sweats. What are your favorites?? Here are some of mine:

John Elliott Escobar

Todd Snyder x Champion

Vuori Ponto

Lulu City Sweat

A/E lightweight performance fleece (they have now changed the fabric)

Nike Tech Fleece (do the new ones really have a shitty fit?)

Thinking of getting a few of these:

Reigning Champ Midweight Terry

Lulu At Ease

Rhone Spar

Goodlife Loop Terry

Mack Weldon Ace

Brunello Cuccinelli sweats are great. Super comfy!

Lulu kind of sucks for the money IMO. Also all sweatpants need zippers to prevent phones from falling out into the depths of your car seat.

Been eyeing some of those, don't know if I'm ready to drop that $

Love a lot of their basics, have a million airism base layers. I'll have to check out some sweats.

Honestly, it depends on your size, Uniqlo is on the short size in pants I believe..unless you like to show your ankles ;)

Honestly don't understand why everyone is raving over lulu lemon's joggers when it's obvious A&F has the best clothing with best quality for the most affordable price. I have sweatpants and shirts from when I was in high school from Abercrombie that are still in tact and don't show any signs of wear and tear. On top of that they always have sales and all these other clothes are overpriced for what seems to be worse quality.

Throwing my hat in the ring for Mack Weldon Ace. Big fan, albeit a little pricey.

Show me the incentive and I'll show you the outcome.

I've been looking into getting a pair, heard good things. All of these are pricey now - the Ace are actually cheaper than most comparable options. Crazy dropping $100 on sweats feels normal now.

The thing I personally like is they have a "Tall" size that actually fits me, versus many of these other options that end up too short. Haven't found a more affordable alternative with similar length yet, but I'm happy with these.

Show me the incentive and I'll show you the outcome.

Do you have a pair of the Sochi ones from John Elliott? Thinking about grabbing a pair, heard good things but hate how they don't have reviews on the site.

Jan 21, 2021 - 1:41pm

Nah I'm tall so those are too short of an inseam for me. I'm a big JE stan and am wearing those loose stitch sweats and a co mix t right now haha. I'd check out the styleforum john elliott thread.

I honestly don't know how people fit in Escobars, those things are like leggings on me and I don't even really have that big of legs. The wider fit sweats are way better IMO (LA, Loose stitch, oversized, etc.)

Uniqlo is great for the ones you wear around the house/you don't really care about getting dirty etc.

For sweats I wear out in terms of athleisure, I go with Alo. Amazing quality, bit pricer than Lululemon (marginally), but more comfortable and sturdy. I've seen my Lululemon-wear get tears and holes randomly whereas Alo has yielded zero such issues. Also I'm a guy - I know Alo is known for womenswear but their menswear is great.

Good to know, yeah Alo has been popping up on my targeted ads and I've been browsing. They look legit

The Myles pair I just got are great - very similar to the City Sweat but a little more terry cloth like and stretchier. Would recommend

Also another vote for both Amazon and Target. Both great basic fleece joggers that are soft and hold up well. Hard to beat the $15 price tag too.

Does anyone have suggestions for tall, slimmer dudes? I've tried a few pairs from various places but even "slim fit" tends to run a bit baggy.

Dec 29, 2020 - 10:13am

As mentioned before the City Sweat from lulu - they have "tall" options for their popular joggers and I think the inseam is 32", which is 3" longer than their standard. I believe American Eagle has a tall version too, as do several other companies. So check those out, both of those are pretty slim too. I have more of an athletic build but their both fairly slim/tight on me.

Other than that check the inseam when you are browsing, standard is 28-30" and a "tall" version should be 32-34"
