Best way to apply to mid-market UK firms
Hi everyone,
I've been a WSO member for a while but this is my first post.
I'm currently looking to apply to MM/EB firms for a graduate role, and I'm unsure of the best way to do this. I'm a final year engineering student on course for a high 2.1 minimum, with extracurriculars and a demonstrable interest in IB. However, I was quite slow on deciding on IB as a career, so subsequently missed out on the internship application train last year. Most of the firms I'm looking at don't have a formal application process, instead asking for solely an email with CV attached. Would I be better off applying to these smaller companies for a summer initially with a view towards extending straight into a FT job if the company is happy with my work instead of a FT role initially?
Bump
A lot of UK firms do internships for graduates. You'll probably do well inquiring about those.
