better to have a BA in Economics or BAA in Economics?
Does one hold a heavier weight than the other? i'm planning on doing the regular routine of working for two years and then getting an MBA. thanks.

whats the difference
BA is a Bachelor of Arts in Economics BBA is a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics
No, I doubt anyone cares. Even though the BAA is probably slightly more analytical. I have a BA but no one asked any questions.
It probably depends what school you're at. I know that at a certain big state school, the BBA econ is in the b-school, and the BA econ is in the arts school. As you would expect, recruiting is a lot better for students in the bschool.
The "BBA" is usually offered at universities with undergraduate business schools, i.e. Wharton, Stern, Rich, etc. I'm not sure that you can major in Economics when pursuing a BBA, as Economics is usually a department within the liberal arts schools. That being said, I don't think banks look at the degrees different, because there are schools like Harvard, Yale, Princeton that don't offer BBA's. Since BBA's mostly concentrate in Finance, the question comes down to Economics major vs. Finance major, which is discussed on this board ad nauseum.
