Biden is really fucking this up

How many executive orders is he going to sign?

- wtf is up with the Keystone pipeline - he eliminated that project and its revenues and the wages ... jobs gone

  • he is keeping the national guard in DC, now estimated to cost $483 million
    https://www.forbes.com/sites/rachelsandler/2021/0…

  • if he raises the minimum wage to $15, millions of americans will lose their jobs and will have to go on unemployment (more money government has to pay). Small business will suffer.

  • the $1,600 checks and $1.9 trillion dollar bill are already expensive (but needed)

When you consider all these factors, shit is going to get expensive real fast. What does he want - a welfare state? People not working and just getting government assistance? 60% tax rate?

Seeking some opinions here. For those who voted for him, do you think this is the right path?

edit a: sorry for being so vulgar in the subject, I can't change it now

edit b: not sure how to have all bullets or dashes - I don't like the way that looks and can't change it

I think it’s normal for a new president to do a flurry of executive orders after he is sworn in. Trump did the same.

I’m with you - I hate the excessive government spending. If I remember correctly, you work in the senior living business. You specifically will be screwed over by the $15 minimum wage. So will many rural senior living facilities and rural businesses in general.

I partially want democrats to pass all the laws they want so they can see for themselves how they play out. They can watch small town businesses lay people off or shut down. Or watch as apartment development dries up because rent control laws make the upside more limited. I feel like it’s the only way they will learn that their policies aren’t necessarily the best for the common person in the long run

"Joe Biden has been US president for less than two weeks and has already issued nearly as many executive action as Trump and Obama did in the same period, combined. Biden hit the ground running, enacting 25 executive orders, 10 presidential memos, and four proclamations within his first 12 days in office."

I'm not sure what you mean. I am really not affected by this. I just think it is a bad move for the government.

I second that. Best way for people to learn and see what truly works is for these policies to play out and realize it’s not what’s best for the majority of us. Interesting to see what will happen at the end of these four years.

What makes me mad is Biden proclaims 'unity' and then acts in division. But, maybe he's just a puppet and someone else is pulling the strings.

I have a friend from undergrad who graduated with a journalism degree, worked at a bookstore, then quit and moved home. Currently making more on his unemployment benefits than he would working any full-time job that will hire someone with his experience. So he decided to go back to school and get a Master's in journalism... Criticizes how ineffective the system is all the time and I can't help but laugh at the irony.

FLASHBACK: Biden Said ‘You Can’t Legislate By Executive Orders Unless You’re A Dictator’

In the clip if you skip to the 3:20 mark is when he has the quote. Ironic between this and the "I am the Senate" comment, things are going about as expected.

"The obedient always think of themselves as virtuous rather than cowardly" - Robert A. Wilson | "If you don't have any enemies in life you have never stood up for anything" - Winston Churchill | "It's a testament to the sheer belligerence of the profession that people would rather argue about the 'risk-adjusted returns' of using inferior tooth cleaning methods." - kellycriterion

Wish I could silver banana this multiple times... apparently more than okay to use the levers of government to help business owners / corporations that seem to be more interested in buying back shares than creating a rainy day fund, but it's 'socialism' when the government lifts a finger to help ordinary people.

Funniest

He doesn't even know what he's signing. They've got him sitting behind that desk hooked up to an IV of steroids and adderall watching Maury on Trump's old monitor. They're bringing him pureed meals on wheels and he gets a peeled grape every time he signs something.

heister: Look at all these wannabe richies hating on an expensive salad. https://arthuxtable.com/

A lot of people seem to be fine with what Biden is doing just because Trump is no longer in office.

That will come back to bite them.

Meanwhile Washington DC is being locked down like a military dictatorship with fences, walls and soldiers everywhere.

Despite winning the election (questionable/potential fraud), Democrats don't seem to act like they won. It looks like they are hiding something.

That $2k stimulus does not seem to be coming anytime soon.

As someone working in energy the ensuing shit storm from the pipeline and environmental regulation has been quite palpable. It is also hilarious to see a bunch of awfully run energy companies that never made money lay ALL the blame on a president that was inaugurated less than 1 month ago.

To echo another poster, I have been quite amused how quickly all the conservatives who cheered on deficit spending for the military and big corporations over the last 4 years all of a sudden snap back to being fiscal conservatives clamouring for a balanced budget. I think we need to take the budget more seriously but its awfully hard to take that approach when most of Biden's spending plans (while misguided imo) are directed at helping the working class during the middle of a pandemic while Republicans have spent the last 4 years not giving a single fuck about the budget during a booming economy

Don't worry. Training everyone to Critical Race Theory and having biological men with mental issues beating the crap out of women in sports will certainly turn the country around.

While you train your men to be feminine, China is doing the opposite:

and super-soldiers:

Joe Biden is a senile libtard, picked to be there only because he wasn't toxic to voters unlike the actual candidate, Kamala, by an elite of cowards and traitors. American decline has accelerated.

Never discuss with idiots, first they drag you at their level, then they beat you with experience.

Here is how to fix the stimulus for those impacted by COVID.

Step 1) Look at their AGI on 2019 tax return. Look at their AGI on the 2020 tax return.

Step 2) If they were worse off in 2020 than 2019 then make them whole with a one time stimulus payment.

Step 3) Gov't hires a significant # of remote positions for people currently unemployed. Their role is solely to find unemployed people a job paying them a similar rate to what they were earning in 2019.

Step 4) No child payments. No stimulus for people who had a better year in 2020 than 2019.

We can’t sustain a four year term from this idiot he already is headed us in a down hill spiral all you dumb asses that help put him in office

should be the first ones to loose what you have for being stupid joe is truly the worst politician this country has ever had and for all you groupies on his side go fuck yourself  i am going to protect myself and loved ones no matter what it takes so bring your shit to the playground you fucking cowards
