Not how it works. Trump can't just go to the supreme court whenever he wants, he has to go through the states first. Even if those judges are *very* conservative, most of Trump's claims have no legal validity and political ideology won't matter. Trump's last shot is to squeak out AZ (which was called too early and looks like a toss-up), win PA (unlikely at this point), win GA (toss-up/leaning Biden), and win NV (close to 0% chance). As you can see, odds are low but not quite impossible he wins all 4.

Another thing to note is that the treatment of PA mail-in ballots that were postmarked BEFORE the election but arrived AFTER e-day could come up in court again. Has already been rejected before (and is clearly undemocratic to trash legitimate votes, some of which are military votes) but certainly a possibility.

Trump will appeal to the Supreme Court that Democrats stuffed illegal ballots into the ballot boxes, and "his" Supreme Court judges will agree with him...which is how Trump will stay President"

The only way that the Supreme Court will agree with him is if the Democrats actually did stuff illegal ballots.

Are you saying that the Democrats did illegally stuff the ballots???

Trump will appeal to the Supreme Court that Democrats stuffed illegal ballots into the ballot boxes, and "his" Supreme Court judges will agree with him...which is how Trump will stay President. for another 4 years.

Why are people worried about this?

1) There is absolutely no evidence that the votes were fraudulent in any way. The SCOTUS already ruled to allow mail-in ballots. All they can do is order to do recounts and determine whether some of those recount results are valid or not.

2) "His" judges are not really "his" judges. "His" judged ruled multiple times against lots of Trump's preferences. Contrary to popular belief, they're doing theirnjobs like they're supposed to.

If the SCOTUS was in any way, either pressured by the executive branch to rule one way or the another, then separation of powers is dead and American democracy will follow.

If that does happen, I'm packing my bags and leaving.

Trumps legal challenges are absurd.  There are mostly all being wacked down by the state courts and for good reasons, as they have very little merit.  Yeah, he has some buddies on the supreme court but how many election law cases do you think the SCOTUS wants to decide.  The SCOTUS is probably going to wait until all votes have been counted and then it will be too late.

I'm confused, Fox News told me that America would turn to socialism if Biden won.

I'd even go as far as calling it scary.  I understand the election will have serious implications on some people's lives, but it is bizarre to me to see some people so invested in this election.  It's like their worldview is dependent on who is sitting in office - if it's Biden, life has never been better, if it's Trump, I'm sure you can imagine.  Maybe I'm just naïve but it seems like an odd way to live to me.

a Biden president + democrat senate = $3 Trillion stimulus bill with a $Trillion aid money to the states

anything else and the next stimulus is under $1 Trillion, and no help to the Blue states

this is HUGE FUCKING MONEY...and THAT is why people care

Your comment shows that you understand NOTHING

just google it...you're welcome

I dont really care too much...but it's shocking how many people completely rely on the government to provide them happiness and the slightest form a satisfaction in their life.

I was hanging on by a thread for the past 4 years but things really took a turn for me more recently at the prospect of Trump finally leaving office.

Yeah, Trump is fucked. Pennsylvania will flip to Biden overnight and end it there. Oh well.

I think you're early. My guess is around 3PM ET tomorrow with about 94% of the vote counted he goes ahead.  The count numbers in PA have been quite consistent, so I'm more willing to hedge my timing guess than my percentage one.

Nevada looks like a lock. the best local pollster said he doesn't see a path for Trump.

Arizona might be in play. Nate Silver is still saying he thinks Fox News called it too early for Biden. Anybody who calls him a dem shill should re-read that statement.

Georgia looks very close.  A huge chunk of the outstanding votes are from Atlanta and Savannah, which isn't a good sign for Trump, but mapping the mail in percentages to the outstanding deficits puts things very close.

Don't hold your breath on NC though. it could go blue, but if it does we'll likely have seen more than enough places go blue first to make it irrelevant.

Overall, I put Biden's chances at 80-90% today.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

I think it is pretty clear that NV and AZ are blue.  PA is probably going to go blue because of all the mail in vote, as dems mailed in lots of votes.  There are still lots of votes from Philly and the PA suburbs that need to be counted.  Philly is like 80-90% Biden and the burbs will not be that high but it will be high.   I think that PA plans to make the call later today.  I assume that GA will go to a recount.

Looking like it’s over for Trump. Nevada basically guaranteed for Biden. Biden needs 63% of remaining ballots in Georgia to win and they’re mostly from Dem counties. Biden needs 60% of remaining mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania to win and he’s won about 78% so far, with many of the remaining ones coming from strong Dem counties.

Imagine this that Biden barely lost to a guy who has:

- Stated he grabs women by the pussies

- Made fun of handicap people

-Made fun of John McCain (after he died)

-Refused to wear a face masks, contracted Covid, and then proceeded to not quarantine and expose others around him

-Said the virus would be gone by June due to the sun

-Said he'd fire Fauci

- Said "She does have a very nice figure... If ivanka weren't my daughter, perhaps I'd be dating her."

- Said "I'm the least racist person in an auditorium, but also told nationalist groups to "Stand Back and Stand By"

-Oh and my favorite and surprisingly true statement, he said "He's done record testing for Covid compared to any other president in US history"

The list just keeps going on and on. Realistically speaking, people didn't vote Biden in this election, they were just voting for whoever isn't Trump. The fact that Biden barely won shows that people would prefer someone else, but they'll take whatever they can get.

Like others, you are just proving that there are a lot of uneducated and gullible white people in the US.  These are the people who favor Trump.   For the Trumpsters on WSO, they want lower taxes and are afraid of socialism.

Deff the dawn of a new era...Biden is young and new to politics, he will be bringing a lot of fresh ideas to the table. I think getting rid of COVID entirely will be first on the agenda, really looking forward to it!

You lost me at “folx”, Democrats lost Latino votes along with 8 seats in the house this time around because majority of them aren’t radicals who identify as “Latinx”. Progressives and Socialists will never win in America.

It is HIGHLY likely that Fox News is the first organization to call the election for Biden. Nevada is a mathematical certainty, and since they already called Arizona, that gives Biden 270 in their model.

What a final blow.

I'm definitely happy so far but still only cautiously optimistic. Biden was my man since day 1 and would love to see him in office. I am more interested in how the republican party moves forward from here is Trump loses. They spent four years nearly blindly backing an absolute fucking psycho, with a few exceptions, so I wonder if they'll just try to "return to normal", which I really hope people don't let them and remind their leadership and elected officials who they stood behind.

Dayman?

Republicans are not going back to normal. Pre-Trump, George Bush-type Republicanism is a dead ideology and never coming back. Republicans are going to transition towards Tucker Carlson-type populism, just led by people other than Trump.

The media should just stop covering him.   I did not really want to watch the speech because I knew the focus would be on fraud.  I was hoping that he would answer questions but that did not happen.

That includes the thousands of Trump ballots that were unfairly miscounted. And it excludes illegal ballots

No Trump ballots were “unfairly miscounted” and there are no “illegal ballots.”

A sad day for some, but for others, it's the dawn of a new era for this nation. Time to restore this country from the ashes and Build Back Better.

We can wait for all the votes to be counted, but that does look to be the case. I hope we can move on. Life goes on, my fellow conservatives. We live to fight another day.

Life goes on? Nah, we’re gonna hang Trump around your neck for the next 30 years like the GOP did with the Clintons. Enjoy.
