Big four winter vs summer internship
Just wondering about the internship process at big four. Online it seems big four does most of their internships in the summer, yet the internship advisor at my school claims they only offer winter internships and start recruiting in the fall.
most do summer and winter...the winter program is usually smaller though. if you are doing audit, you will work a lot harder during the winter since it coincides with busy season for audit. prob get paid hourly and work a decent amnt of overtime. during the summer, you will get coffee and work 9-5.
That's true, I would think that they definitely do more Summer internships overall, but that doesn't mean there is anything wrong about doing a summer. You can get a full time offer from either, but Winter internships are great if you're wanting to experience the "busy season" and maybe rack in some good overtime hours.
What he said is true from what I know. I can confirm that the winter intern class is usually pretty small compared to summer, but I'm sure it varies by hiring needs, etc.
