Blackrock Summer Analyst Interview
Hi,
I just received information about an upcoming video interview with BlackRock. It is for the "Investments - Beta Strategies + Trading Liquidities & Strategies - Intern" position. I have never had a video interview before so any advice would be appreciated. Does anyone have experience with this group or with the interview? Additionally, I was confused as to whether Beta Strategies+ Trading Liquidities & Strategies are one group or two different ones. Are they just lumped together for the internship if they are different groups? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks all!
Had a video interview with a BB for SA position. You are given a question, 30 sec to prepare and 90 sec to answer. You answer will be recored and reviewed by recruiting team. Tips: put notes in front of you, eye contact with the camera not the screen, relax.
He didn't specify whether or not it's through HireVue.
Interesting. Got the interview invite too, even though i didn't apply for that role. What did you apply to?
Which offices did you guys interview with?
What is beta strategies supposed to be?
Have you heard back from Trading Liquidities and Strategies? I didn't get to second round for Beta Strategies.
Help on BlackRock summer internship interview (Originally Posted: 02/05/2007)
I have an inernship interview with BlackRock account management group on Tuesday. These are the duties I will be performing if I get in:
BlackRock’s Account Management Group (AMG) functions as the liaison between BlackRock and our asset management clients. As an intern in AMG, your responsibilities will include working with the portfolio managers to prepare portfolio reviews, market updates, and research reports. You will have the opportunity to participate in client presentations. You will work with every department within BlackRock to respond to existing client’s needs/inquiries daily, as well as work with clients to set-up their accounts and develop benchmarks, investment guidelines and portfolio structuring analysis. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to participate in new business opportunities, marketing, and responding to requests for proposals (RFPs). This opportunity provides broad exposure to asset management, the market, and a wide variety of financial products.
Does anyone know if the interview will be technical or behavioral?
What else should I do other than reading vault's guide to asset management and prepare for behavioral questions?
Any help will be appreciated.
Anyone?
how did u get that interview?
submitted resume thru career center at UVa
I just had the interview this Tuesday morning. It's really short.
Considering the position isn't all that technical (you're in a MO/marketing role--not on a trading desk or doing research for trades), it's most likely going to be a behavioral interview.
yea i fucked up.
when asked if i was a more marketing person or quantitative person, i said quantative/research.
then the interviewer started telling me about BlackRock solutions.
i thought AMG does a little bit of quantative stuff and research
