BLOOMBERG'S UNPROFESSIONAL TREATMENT TOWARDS INTERVIEW CANDIDATES

Need some advise from forum members:

I had two interviews with Bloomberg recently for a Sr. PE Analyst position. Both went well. The second interviewer said she would coordinate with HR and another Sr. Manager for a follow up phone interview. THIS WAS OVER A MONTH BACK!!!

I contacted the lady who setup the calls and she claims SHE HAS NO CLUE. I have sent her several polite follow up emails without ANY response except "I HAVE NO IDEA. I AM JUST AN ADMIN". I even asked to provide me email / phone contact of the lady I interviewed with (THE ADMIN categorically did not provide me this info the first time she set the interview saying "THEY WILL CALL YOU ON YOUR CELL. WE DON'T GIVE OUT THIS INFO FOR PRIVACY REASONS") and she refused citing the same reason.

I find this alarming given that Blooberg touts about the way they treat employees BLAH BLAH. While I'm totally ok with them saying "we have decided to go with another candidate" at the very least I would expect some correspondence to that effect. I FIND THIS TO BE UTTERLY UNPROFESSIONAL.

HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED SUCH "FINE" TREATMENT FROM BLOOMBERG??

Hopefully some one from the firm sees this.

Thanks people. Any feedback / comment would be great.

Bloomberg HR are crap

For a start, the woman called me to schedule but it went to VM as I was in class. Over the following week I left maybe 6 messages to try and arrange an interview, eventually she scheduled the interview but then I never heard back from her. I don't even know her name.

Either way, **** that.

Same crap happened. to me. I even called their operator number and got a guy to talk to the HR lady and was told she'd get back tome. Yeah right. So glad it happened though, got a much better position. Bloomberg blows.

perhaps that's why there's a high turnover rate in Bloomberg

FYI, I traveled to a different city for an interview on my own dime and the interviewer took 3 weeks to get back to me, the POS didn't even have the courtesy to inform me earlier despite knowing I had taken a 5 hour bus journey each way to get to the interview and back.

For Bloomberg? Fuck that. I wouldn't take a bus anywhere to any interview.

Thanks for sharing everyone.

Yes I have been dinged a few times....but from smaller firms......just didn't expect it from Bloomberg. Heard from few Alums who got treated like crap by their HR. Looks like a pattern here. F them anyways.
