Bluffing about other job offers / other interviews to push a firm to give me decision earlier?
Been 5 days since I interviewed at MF, expected a response sooner but was told interviews went well well and they enjoyed the convos and they are wrapping up the process with other candidates.
I'm beginning to feel like I'm being dragged but don't have any other real interviews (not traditional PE, a specialized field so I'd have to wait for openings and network but I've had some good convos in the past, just have to touch base again).
Can I bluff about interviews and potentially offers to speed up the process? Worst case I go A2A

If you do, expect them to ask where. You’ll name a place, then this will be the moment you learn how small the industry is - everybody knows everybody. Next thing you know they’re on the phone with their contact to ask what that firm thought of you. They realize you don’t have an offer, and your chances are over.
