BMO vs. Wells Fargo vs. Nomura/BNP/Natixis/HSBC - SA 2020
For summer 2020; I understand I have pretty poor chances for a BB/EB internship being from a semi target with no direct IB experience, so I was wondering what people would choose from these lower tier shops. Considering Wells has their weird placement for Summer Analysts and the rest are not based in the US, any thoughts on this?
BMO>WF> others. From what I've heard, BMO is expanding pretty quickly. Would go with WF if it is in a product group though (massive balance sheet)
deleted.
Evercore is still interviewing. It's rolling
I actually have an offer, just wondering about these firms I can still decide among / recruit with.
BMO>WF>BNP>The Rest
bump
heavily dependent on group and what you're looking for. PE exits, highest salary, etc
This is true, BMO has a pretty good levfin desk but I have no idea how good their coverage is. WF is good with anything that involves their massive balance sheet - structured lending, DIP, real estate (after eastdil consolidation)
I have a friend at HSBC in levfin, he's said they've done some good exits
Don't know anything about Natixis or BNP
