Bob Diamond believed to set up own hedge fund

Hi, I just read that former Barclays CEO Bob Diamond is believed to launch an own hedge fund based in New York.
Do you think that's true or just rumors? and if so, what kind of hedge fund would he probably set up? I know little about him before he became head of investment banking and later CEO of Barclays. Was he a trader formerly? and if so, which asset class?

Bobby D from ashy to classy and back.

Damn, I'd kill to only do 1 year in college, then become CEO at 30.

College is a joke... let's go back to the old days!

You do realize that it says he spent one year lecturing, right? Not one year attending school.

Going by his Linkedin it would appear he just went straight to getting his MBA at UConn, no lecturing mentioned anywhere. You know we're being facetious right?

he did spend a year lecturing. saw that on his barclays bio when he was still in charge.

simply suck up that you were wrong. one year in college? how ridiculous. finance is becoming more and more complex, so i guess in future even more university training (especially in math and stat) will be necessary

Please re-read what we wrote and look up the meaning of facetious.
