Bocconi MSc AFC vs. ESSEC MSc Finance

Hello,

I have received offers for the Master AFC at Bocconi or the Master in Finance at ESSEC, both are good options as my main interest is quantitative finance. (i didn't get into MSc finance at Bocconi)

I would eventually would like to work in IB M&A or PE, not sure where yet but considering Milano or London, which master would be the best option with better placement in big companies?

I know the AFC is less prestigious than the Fiance master at Bocconi but does it still offers good opportunities? And then from rankings i can see ESSEC Finance is very high too..

Thanks

Hey sorry for late reply, so I decided to go for AFC Bocconi mainly because I’m not interested in working in Paris (And I believe that would be the added value for attending ESSEC)

What I can tell you is the master is quite good and you get the same job opportunities as the master in finance If you do the networking and manage to keep good grades and accumulate experience.

Milan mainly hires from Bocconi so no problem there, I got the best IB interviews from being in this master. London is still a bit more competitive but again with some experience and networking there is no issue getting very good placement either.

Plus the master is chill and allows time for a social life in Milan, and if you don’t want to go for Markets but rather IB I think AFC makes sense.

Hopes this help!
