Bonus Season - Its that season
Its that season boys, and our firm like all the others wants to know what everyone is expecting this year (we operate on June
year ends for analysts). To any of you who have an idea of what to expect please let me know, especially anyone working for a Canadian firm.
From what I've heard our firm (Top Canadian firm) pays 65,000 base and 35 - 40 bonus for a first year, all figures in Canadian dollars.
Cheers,
Are Canadian firms really that different from the US firms (absent f/x)???
would love to know what bonuses are going to be for the bulge firms?
The 2006 Compensation Database will be released on this site on July 21, 2006 ...which will obviously include 2006 bonus figures.
it will probably be 75k for top end of 1st years at BB
I have heard probably a 10k bump from 60/80/100 last year to 70/90/110 1st/2nd/3rd respectively
what's their pay?
I know that at one of the leading German banks, pay starts at approx. EUR 60K for M&A analysts and EUR 45K for Research analysts. You can expect as a bonus something between 50-80% of your base pay for 1st/2nd year.
Word is 80/100/120.
what's the bonuses look like for strong middle-market banks (Jefferies, Piper Jaffray, Baird, blair, etc.)....are they a little less or significantly less?
Middle market bonuses from the top players are typically a little less than bulge brackets.
question is, why are the bonus numbers so low in the 2005 report when average numbers were supposedly in the 65-75 range for first years. i'm seeing numbers there as low as 35?!
my guess is the 2005 numbers have some kids in bucket shops where they pay significantly less. most of the numbers that get quoted and float around (65k) are the top end of the range and sometimes even slightly inflated... a $35k bonus is definitely weak for last year though. maybe they just sucked at their job.
What do BB I Banks pay in regards to DCM bonuses that fall under IBK umbrella?
I've heard plenty of quotes for IB bonus numbers, do sales and trading 1st year analysts receive comparable numbers (for a BB bank)?
Does anyone know the scale? Anybody? How much does DCM IBK Analysts make compared to IBK analysts?
