Bonus Stub - how much is too much to leave on the table

I switched from the SS to the BS in June of 2021 and when I negotiated BS comp I didn't say anything about wanting to be made whole for the bonus I was leaving behind. The comp negotiations consisted of me telling them the total compensation range my bank was going to pay me for 2021 and them matching the number--but that would be with a pro-rata bonus, right?

Kind of a moronic move by me because I left an amount equal to 20% of my total annual comp on the table. I was just so done with my old job and grateful to receive the offer that I didn't think things through. Live an learn I guess.
