Boutiques/MMs that pay street (@ analyst level)?

Can anyone please help out here. Trying to find some boutiques/MM firms that pay similar bases--75-80k+ (and bonuses) as the bigger-name BBs/EBs as an analyst. Anyone have any good names in NY?

BB outside the US but kind of an in between in US, I heard they pay street level comp

People are listing places like HL and Jefferies here? if OP didn't know about these places, he can't even get a job at the other places.

FTP also pays at or above street but you know the deals...

Pretty much every reputable MM pays around or near street. BBs are better because of brand name and transaction XP, not pay.

Want to remain anonymous since it was a really small form. Interned last summer at a boutique. One office firm with 10 people total. Base for analysts was 75k and bonus was 50%-75% of salary. Lots of mobility upwards. Still had the meal benefit of $25 after 7:30pm that large firms have. Their model was to take people who had 1-2 years experience at a larger firm and bring them to their firm. Low COL area. It's definitely possible to find places like this, but most true boutiques seem to grind their junior staff and pay them very little.

Guys why do you feel the need to comment if you don’t know, are you just trying to let everyone know that you know middle market firms?

There are a few firms that were named here that all in pay below street. Macquarie definitely does despite paying street base it pays below street bonus and has an aggressive bonus retention policy. FT Partners believe pays below street all in (based on feedback from a colleague that worked there). BMO believe pays below street, although not sure if it varies by team. Stifel believe pays below street bonus, but not 100% on that. Nomura I would suspect does as well, although I don’t have a recent source.

LMAO bud

How are you gonna call people out for naming shops and not being sure what they pay, and then you do the same thing????

Take a lap

Dawg because I don't work in HR and know entire compensation schemes. It's all information based on convos with buddies of mine, it's not like I'm sitting down with them and analyzing if their firms pay street or not. Got better things to do.

I gave you guys info I know and level of certainty, unlike everyone above. F off if you think any of the above info is more accurate.

On FT partners a year ago I was told associate base and at least at the level we were discussing it was below street. Bonus did not make up for that.

Objectively false. You know an associate at the bank you mentioned? They get paid almost as much as PE associates, no lie. There are reasons why though.

Isnt that below street then? EBs / BBs all in pay in an avg. year for associates tops those of most UMM PE associates.

Thank you, intern.

This is helpful. Will review and revert over the weekend. Nothing pressing for now, but need you to be ready to work on a dime'sn otice over the weekend (yes, tomorrow as well) as we need to update some pages for a client cold call tomorrow. Will keep you updated. Please remember to sign off around 4 tonight instead of the usual 5. Need you up and awake for tomorrow's associate call at 7. Hopefully, the couple hours should be enough espeically in these covid times for you to be perky.
