Breaking into Asset Management (Brand new to Wall Street Oasis)

Hey Everyone,

I'm brand new to Wall Street Oasis, so sorry if this post is extremely trite. I'm currently an engineer based in Colorado looking to eventually work in Asset Management, ideally in a firm that focuses on value investing. I've been told that without a Masters (preferably a MBA), it will be quite difficult to transition. As an alternative, should I pursue completing the CFA instead? If yes, are there specific resources you recommend going through? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much,

Kouna
