Breaking into IB Next Summer
I am a rising junior in Penn CAS economics with 3.85, transferred from top 15 liberal arts with 3.93 GPA there. Just recently realized I wanted to get into IB next summer with goal being job in PE after graduation. My problem is, before the past few weeks, I had originally been planning to get PhD in econ, so I spent time applying for research positions this summer (and didn't even get any). Thus, I have no plans for the summer and limited relevant experience (currently have consulting position in Wharton Club) for breaking into IB. Besides cold emailing/messaging on LinkedIn, what can I do to raise my chances of getting an IB internship next summer, as I know recruiting is underway and this summer is probably a wash already. Any advice would be appreciated.
Hey aggravatingvehicle, what a lonely thread. I'm here since nobody responded ...so maybe one of these discussions will help:
