Breaking into Prop Trading
Hello Monkeys, I got a question for anyone in the prop trading industry. What would be the best way to break into a prop trading firm. I went to a non target, and graduated a little over two years ago. I currently work on an institutional trading desk, but want to transition into prop. Every application I apply to gets denied, and haven't even gotten an interview in the past year or so. I have been trading actively in my retail account, and have been doing really well the past two years. This current year my PnL is up over 100%, and the year prior my PnL was roughly up 40%. My trading strategies consist on scalp trading the indexes, swing trading individual stocks, along with swing trading future indexes. I'm no dummy on how to trade, I just seem to be a dummy on how to get into a prop firm. Also, I'm not looking for one of those Maverick trading shops where you have to put up your own funds, and they'll give you insane leverage. Thanks in advance.
