Breaking In..Weighing my options
....Apologies for the long post.
I currently work in corporate finance at a large fortune 500. I have been at my current position as an analyst for a year. I took this job out of school knowing that it was not what i wanted to do, however it was excellent money, and more importantly allowed me to get the title "Financial Analyst" on my resume. This was most important to me because I knew from the begining being a non-finance major was going to be a challenge to overcome. I attended a large non target state school, and after reading this site as well as others over the past year and a half, I realize that the deck is stacked against me. However, after working a year in corporate finance I am ready to make a move. My goal is to have a new job by next fall. Short term goal is to simply "Get in the game" if you will, and out of CF.
Anyways...Over the past year I have been networking extensively and have established a good list of solid potential opportunities. Obviously not all of these will pan out, but as I begin to move closer to the formal interview proceess I could really use some input on the following ops. Not all of these have been discused to the point of specific positions, please consider the company and how this would effect my overall career path. Thanks in advance.
