BSc Industrial Engineering (ME), MSc Finace, Risk & Accounting - what career options do I have?
I live in Germany and got an industrial engineering bachelor degree since I did not really like the engineering part but really enjoyed the couple finace, economics and accounting courses that were part of my curriculum I decided to focus on that areas.
I have work experience in controlling, business intelligence and auditing (big4) and am wondering what career options I have considering my background. Also I have pretty good coding skills (SQL, R, SAS, Java, VBA) from my time in business intelligence.
I enjoy quantitative/data oriented work that involves some coding (R, SAS) but I don't know how I could pursue this path as a non-mathematitian. Do you have any advice on what roles I should look into? Does anyone share a similar background, in that case where do you work? Should I try to stay in the manufacturing industry since I might have a advance due to my IE bachelor, or is this rather irrelevant?
Thanks!
