Building to the US vs. directly to the US
I was reading several topics recently about how Frankfurt allows for unique opportunities if you are a non-target student (i.e. it is easier to get your foot in). Some insight in this thread for example: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/wall-stree…
This created a question in my head: Since the probability of me getting directly into a spot in the U.S. is actually fairly low (pretty much subpar in all categories), I could instead opt to move west laterally - start in Frankfurt, try to make it to London, then get a transfer to the U.S.
Is this idea even moderately worthy of consideration? Or am I better off accumulating post-grad certifications and internships to justify my position directly in the U.S.?
