Bullpen Freelancing Work?
Is anyone here involved with contract/part-time work for commercial real estate?
I found this cool website called Bullpen that has a ton of freelance jobs within the industry that pay well ($80-100+ /hour).
I'm thinking about applying to any positions that look interesting - seems like a decent way to get real-world experience and make some extra money on the side to supplement your income.
The first rule of fight club is you do not talk about fight club.
Good luck. You wont get much work on this. I offered on multiple positions...well below their budgeted amount. Someone willing to take minimum wage will bid literally nothing to get it.
I probably did offers on 60 assignments and got 2 accepted. After paying bullpen fees and taxes, I didnt make much. If you think you're going in and getting a ton of assignments, you won't be and there will be much lower bidders than you. You'll make some beer money here, but dont look too much into it for more than that.
I think it depends on your area of expertise. Bullpen has far fewer applicants than other freelancing sites, and if you have experience/knowledge outside of simple multi waterfall models, you can do well.
I had a MUCH higher hit rate than what you experienced.
Please DM me - I'd like to learn more about your experience
