Burberry Trench Coat Color Opinions

Sup. I'm gonna pull the trigger on a Burberry Chelsea trench coat pretty soon as I gear up for the Winter and was wondering what colors you all think is best (I'm having a tough time deciding for myself). Their three color choices are Honey, Mid Grey, and Black. I honestly like them all. I usually prefer darker colors for outerwear which would normally favor the Black (like most of my coats) or the Grey (for a little diversity), but I think the Honey is nice too. Any opinions? This is kind of a pricy purchase so input is greatly appreciated. As of the moment I'm writing this, I've been talking myself into the Grey.

Grey or honey will be more versatile. Black is less versatile because it's a very saturated color and doesn't pair as well with typical menswear palettes of earthier grey/brown/blue/olive/burgundy shades. That said, this is less important for outerwear and you could definitely get away with a black trench.

If you wear a lot of grey pants/suits then you might like the honey to add another hue, but you can't go wrong here. About as classic a look as there is.

Appreciate the input. I was thinking the same thing. Their shade of grey is different enough from my grey suits that I think it would stand out when paired with them. The Honey is nice but something is telling me I would regret it.

Honey just looks right for Burberry trench coats, but if you're not convinced then I would avoid it. I would consider black less versatile across palettes than the grey one. There's also a good argument to be made to go with non-black if you already have a good choice of black coats at home.

My personally opinion is Honey. I just think it is such a coat, you can dress it up or dress it down. I own two burberry scarfs, a checkered shirt and a polo. They look as good as the day I bought them. It's quite the investment but I would not be surprised if it lasted the rest of your life.
