Buyside Exits From Oliver Wyman?

I know rankings are subjective, but outside of MBB they are usually considered as one of the top T2 firms. Arguably = to some of MBB in niche areas within financial services.

So, what kind of buyside exits have you seen from OW consultants? I am mostly focused on their North America practice. Since I don't know how strong they are in Europe. But all insights are welcome!

VC / Growth

Insight, Menlo, Sequoia Growth, TCV, Mainsail, handful of other small venture

PE

BX, MDP, Lee Equity, Charlesbank x2, Calera, Bain, Vista (someone got the offer but declined), LGP (IR), Serent, Summit, 3i, maybe a couple others I can't remember

Can also tell you I had plenty of interview looks at MFs where I did not convert (issue as a candidate not an interview access)

Recruiting for PE from OW is a fucking grind because everyone would rather have an MBB consultant than you but you CAN get most opportunities from OW. There are certain ones that will never happen (lots of big firms don't really hire consultants, some only hire MBB like Golden Gate)

are the candidates from OW getting into MF's already super pedigreed undergrad? Or have you seen non-targets break into these firms aswell? I know the majority of pickups from OW come from targets/semi-targets, but for those going to a random LAC, will they lack invites to MF PE, VC etc?
