Buyside Recruiting with no transaction experience?
I currently work in an asset management group at an investment bank and have had a few reputable headhunters reach out for 2020 opportunities for MM firms. However, I don't have any transaction experience and the limited modeling that my group does is very specific to the types of investments we're working on. Is it possible to do well in private equity interviews from studying alone if you have a strong background and have your story down? Or do you really need to have lots of transaction and deal specific modeling experience to land a role?
