Call after superday, number blocked, no voicemail...
So I received a call today after a super day Friday. The number was blocked and there was no message left. I am assuming this means I got dinged. Normally this would not be a big deal since I assume I will find out eventually, but I have another offer due within two days and need to know my options.
Let me know what you think.
Are you retarded? Is the answer not obvious to you? What the hell else would you do? Enough with these stupid questions on wso.
very true. I would email/phone call the recruiter to try and figure out the answer. I guess I should have asked if this was for sure a ding?/ I just thought this was strange, because I have always gotten voicemails in the past no matter what the result.
Stop speculating and get on the phone.
If they had an offer for you they would leave you a voicemail and/or e-mail you. Even though it's usually a girl calling from HR, you're not supposed to wait 3 days to call back.
what bank was this superday for, and was it for FT?
not ft, sa, if you really want to know the bank I can pm you
Also, quick question, if you hit all of your interviews out of the park with a few different groups (superday), and received an offer with placement into a group that wasn't your favorite, could you or would you reach out to some of your interviewers from your number one choice to try and re-route placement/offer to that particular group?
U sure this isn't some chick you screwed over, or a bill collector? I'm sure that anyone important would be leaving you a message.
no, it very well could be. I have also considered this as well. If I don't hear anything tomorrow I will call back Wednesday.
heard back today, got the position. Still have no idea who the blocked call was from...
congrats
I had this same exact question. I got a blocked call with no voicemail last week. I haven't been really been applying anywhere, so how do I know which firm is making me an unsolicited offer? What if the offer is from BAML? Do you think I should hold out for a blocked call from GS/MS?
