Cambridge associates to IB?

Hi, I'm interning at a startup PE firm, have been doing a fair amount of biz. dev. Wondering if someone would provide new advice regarding Cambridge Associates..?The role I'm considering at CA (not my PE firm, to be clear) sounds like Excel data manipulation for portfolio management and use of proprietary software. I have been really hoping to get in with a boutique IB as an analyst. I was a medical student. Really very high undergrad GPA from non-target also, and some other standout wins in my background. Anyone experience CA to IB? I have not taken any finance or accounting courses. I have taken math through calculus and a math course for management.
