Long story short, I'm supposed to do a case study on a private company for a PE interview, but my school stopped paying for FactSet so I can't pull financial data. I've been scrambling to call friends to run the search for me but haven't had any luck so far. Would anybody on WSO be willing to help a prospect out? If so just pm me or respond and I'll pm you the details. Thanks in advance.

Heavy CapIQ user here. CapIQ won't give you private company financials. Public - sure. However, there are other ways to pull the info (deal sites - if someone has access to deal from Debt Domain, Intralinks, or Syndtrak, Moody's/S&P - create free login - you get good general info - Revenue, EBITDA, leverage, capital structure, etc.). Fitch has some good info too if you have access (the "Fitch 50"). Just a few thoughts.
What is the end goal / what are you looking to accomplish with the info? Perhaps I can help.
Looking to make a company profile, so pretty much just need the stuff you mentioned. I don't have access to any of the databases you mentioned though. I could try to hop onto Moody's - you said the log in is free?
I have FactSet through uni, PM me with what you want.
You have checked Edgar already I assume? Just because its privately held, it may still need to file depending if it has bonds.
I'd think there would be a relatively definitive source out there publicly if this is a case study for a legit PE Fund; no one has the time to review a 20 cases with a shit-ton of approximated financials. If its not for a legit PE fund, I'd be a bit hesitant as it sounds like they may just be using the "case-studies" to get factset / capiq financials.
