Can you ask your firm to sponsor your CFA if you only worked there for a week?
Can you ask your firm to sponsor your CFA level 1 if you only worked there for a week? (you dont want to miss the deadline)
Asking about the CFA
The best way to find out if your firm pays for the CFA is to ask your boss and or human resources. A short email should suffice in this situation. Some companies will pay after you pass the CFA. Other companies may pay as soon as you send them the bill. The CFA also offers scholarships if you're looking for other ways to cut costs.

By sponsor you mean pay for it? Just ask your boss what the policy is. Some companies pay once you send them the bill, some after you get a pass. Best case, they refund you the cost, worst case, they say no. In worst case, just say that you totally understand why they won't pay.
Yes, you can ask.
Ask em for a promotion while you are in there. But really, most likely there is a formal policy. Ask your boss/HR.
I have almost the same question: HOW would you ask for it?
Depends on the firm. At my old BB (and I imagine it's similar at others), they'll reimburse you after you pass it if it's relevant to your work, but you have to pay upfront for registration. Also there's usually a clawback period so you can't leave right after you get reimbursed.
