Can you get your offer withdrawn for a charge you disclosed?
So I got an offer at a MM, pending the background check. The thing is, I disclosed the fact that I was arrested and plead to a misdemeanor theft charge on the eligibility question from the day 1. Throughout the interview, I was never asked about this, so I was a bit confused as to why. But now that I am waiting for a background check, I'm afraid if it can bite me in the ass and get my offer withdrawn.
Should I take any action about this? E-mailing or calling HR to make sure they know about it? I just did the finger printing, so I should know within a week, but I want to make sure I get this job.
Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
If they gave you an offer after you disclosed it, I don't think you have anything to worry about. They are just making sure what you say it true and that there isn't anything else.
if you disclosed what is the problem? ....sure you've had your fair share of what were you thinking?...but that's something for another day.
I guess I'm just being neurotic about it...maybe they overlooked my disclosure and processed the interview but when the background check digs up something they'll rethink about the offer? is that possible
It is possible for them to revoke your offer, but they won't for this as it was already disclosed. You'll be fine.
