Interested in applying for some brokerage Capital Markets roles, the salary as noted by Glassdoor is quite low for comfort. That’s real estate salaries, but it seems to me like a role like this would have high variability depending on team. Should I expect $50-60k coming in assuming a normal?? How are bonuses usually factoring in.

This is a few years back, but when I was in grad school I was interning at a boutique capital markets group and they paid the analysts (out of undergrad) $60k base with the potential of 100% bonus. However, that was obviously heavily dependent on how much $ the group was bringing in for the year.
Base will probably be anywhere from like 50-70k, you should be able to openly discuss bonus/commission potential during the interview process to get a better idea of total comp. Can’t really give a general answer here bc it varies a lot among teams and will probably depend on how good of a fit you are and how much production your team has. I think my year 1 commission share was only like $15k but once my broker determined they wanted to keep me on the team after using year 1 as a “trial period” it jumped like 3x year 2.
