Capital Markets vs Asset Management

I am currently looking to move from my current position in asset management at an MREIT to a more front office/deal facing role and found an opening for a capital markets analyst at a family office.

Does anyone have any information on what the day to day for this type of position would look like as well as comp, and work/life balance? I am living/working in a mid sized market and will be moving to a large market in a year and a half to two years.
