Capital One: Transitioning Internally from Software Engineer to either Project Manager or Business Analyst. Which one to go with

I've been a software engineer at Capital One for about one year now and found it's not for me.

I reached out to HR and was told I could make a lateral move into their Project Management Rotation Program (MRP) or their Analyst Development Program (ADP) upon a successful interview.

ADP is more selective and therefore more competitive. It acts as Capital One's in-house consulting firm. This is why I'm scared. I'm not that smart lol. I'm afraid I would get my ass kicked if I made it into this program by the kids who went to top tier schools.

MRP is less selective, I would be taking a pay cut, but I know I could at least do well.

Could anyone provide some insight?

Here are the descriptions of the two programs:

Management Rotation Program:
Capital One’s two-year Management Rotational Program (MRP) prepares associates to deliver complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive the business forward. MRP Associates use leadership skills and passion for problem solving to ensure our projects, systems, and processes deliver value to the organization. The MRP creates a pipeline for associate level talent into process, project, risk, and agile roles with a focus on attracting, retaining, and developing future leaders at Capital One.

Analyst Development Program:
The Analyst Development Program (ADP) is a 2-year program designed for new grads hired at Capital One as Business Analysts, Strategy Analysts and Data Analysts. ADP is our launch pad for new associates, giving them a well-rounded set of job-specific skills through four weeks of hands-on learning, ongoing education, and strategic placement in amazing roles.
