Career Choice

Hi everyone!

I understand that this post might just be bringing up the same topic over and over again on here and I'm ready to get yelled at on here or whatever lol but I genuinely need advice. No matter who I turn to: parents, friends, family, school advisors it's always the same story to stay on track to go to med school. But I genuinely have an interest in the finance world and investment banking. I'm not gonna run around like the others and be like "oh no money isn't important" it sure as hell is and I want a great paying career and I'm ready to work hard for med school or IB banking. I've applied to med school but getting rejected and will most likely have to take the MCAT again to get into a good school. But just like running around a ER helping patients, putting on a suit and sitting in a room talking to clients and business appeals to me as well. I understand that some of you might have a jaded view after doing it for a while but I hear the same from some doctors. I want a great career that pays well and gives me satisfaction in both and I see two routes here. I know its super hard to break into IB not from a Ivy or a finance major but thats part 2. Is it better to try to get an internship or should I shut up and go to med school and get an MBA and then break in that way? This is the route most of my friends, family, advisors are suggesting. Please give me your advice and views on whatever you can: work life balance, salary, job outlook, anything helps! I can't really focus on school or anything and just staying up late at night browsing these websites and obviously there is no definitive answer. Appreciate all the advice, thank you!
