Career move or just impatient?
Hi guys,
I'm in a situation in which I am not quite sure what to do. I currently work at a prop trading company in nyc working as an operations analyst (my main task is being the sole back office ops guy for our company's equity portfolio). I've been in the position for just over nine months but I feel like I am going nowhere. Don't get me wrong, the company is great, I just don't know if i will be able to grow here and be used to my full potential.
So I have talked to some recruiters and managed to interview at a CT hedge fund for what seems to be the same job. Now here is my question. My current office is ~80 people, 200 globally. The hedge fun is 30 people. Does it make sense to make the switch because I will get more exposure to all aspects of the business (I already get this exposure at my current job) or do I stick it out for some time longer at my current position and see where things go?
Any at all input would be greatly appreciated!
