Career options after pursuing MBA from US, currently working as an Engineer

Hi All,

I've been working as a software developer with Amazon for the past 2.5 years, and will be completing 3 years in July. While I like the work I do, and the pay is good, I feel I can do better long term if I pursue an MBA.
I want to understand two things:

1) What are my realistic chances of getting admitted to one of the top US Business Schools? (Adding a brief profile below)

  • Will be applying internationally (hailing from India).

  • Strong academics overall.

  • GMAT - 750

  • 3 years work ex with Amazon, worked mainly on high pressure India specific challenges.

2) What is the percentage of engineers in a typical B school class and how typically how easy/hard is it for an engineer like me i.e coming from FANG but no prior finance experience to make it into PE/IB?
