Career Path from MBA Intern at F500 Diversified Financial Services Company ----> Banking?
Hey all,
I'm a first year MBA student, and this summer I'm heading to a F500 Diversified Financial Services co. as a member of an 'MBA Leadership Program.' I know that (assuming you do well) they potentially extend offers at the end of these for graduating MBAs to return FT after completion of the degree.
But I'm wondering - is it possible to make the leap from something like this sort of MBA internship to purer banking or iBanking job?
Non-target B-School for most banks, but top 40-50 by most rankings
3.7 GPA (going up)
670 GMAT
Curious to hear if anyone's made that transition and, if so, if they know of any banking-specific MBA Development Programs that might recruit someone with those stats? Something like Goldman's New Associate Program but - you know - something that I might have a shot at.
