Career Path Info
Hi everyone,
I need a few pointers and insight into what exactly a few careers are like and how those relate to my interests.
First off, I'm an undergrad with a double major in Finance and Accounting from a non-target. I've had a few opportunities to participate in stock simulation competitions at my college and have come out on top. I enjoy reading financial news daily as well as doing research on a companies financial statements/annual reports. Also how the markets fluctuate based on new info and how securities move based on this info. I would like to work in something that would incorporate all this into my daily work, doing research, analyzing data, investing money based on my recommendations and findings. Ideally I'd have my own company at some point in the future to do all this but I know that before that I need experience. Just wanted to pointers on what types of internships I should be looking for. Asset/Investment Management? equities research? Sales and Trading? Prop-shop trading? portfolio management?PWM?
