Career shift to role of Equities Dealer/ Broker. What skill sets, specific things I can learn and practice in preparation?
Hey guys!
I'm not US-based so I won't apply to a Wall Street firm but a local one here. I'm eyeing a job as equities dealer, preferably institutional. I know that equities dealers essentially focus on order execution especially for big ones by institutional clients. But can someone actually walk me through.
What are the specific skill sets, facts, knowledge that I can learn and practice now to prepare me? Like a primer on how to actually do the job.
Any material such as pdfs, books, videos, would be great.
Thanks
