Career Transition Advice
Just a quick question. If anyone out there has any input, I'd love to hear it.
I am currently working as an analyst for a medium sized firm, very small team, that mostly works with USDA and HUD deals. The work is really nothing and has felt like I am learning nothing and not going to have any real career progression.
I have been recently told that getting a job at the Municipal Advisory Council of Texas would be "an excellent opportunity for career growth" but wasn't really aware about it or how the exit opps would really look. Always wanted to develop my career into a PM and have already taken CFA level 1.
What I am currently doing is using my down time to primarily prep for the GMAT with the hope of using an MBA program as a way to transtion into a larger role at a much better company.
With all of this being said, I want to understand a little more about if working as an analyst for MAC would actually lead to any strong outcomes or stay the course at my current employer until the next round of MBA admissions open up and I can start applying. (Currently in my Mid-20s).
Any input is greatly appreciated.
