Cases set in COVID-era

Hi,

Context: studying industry overviews for cases, most of these overviews are from a few years ago. Thus:

Has anyone recently experienced case interviews where the interviewee is required to think about things with COVID in mind? Have firms given cases and explicitly said something about the time setting being "set in a pre-COVID era", or  "set during the pandemic" or something of that sort?

Trying to feel out if studying industry trends from a couple years past will doom me if I don't also have a grasp for COVID trends.

Thanks!

No.

I interviewed at all MBB last semester and there were no questions about COVID.

It might affect the chances of getting cases about stuff like org transformation, digitization, e-commerce, etc. but cases will likely not state COVID directly. Think about it: most case interviews are about specific business problems and not wider current events.

Also, you don't need to study industry trends.

Thanks, helpful to know.

I'm also not studying industry trends per se, more so reading macro overviews on ones I'm entirely unfamiliar with. Would think it'd be better to know stuff like the rise of budget airlines vs. traditional, but who knows if not useful at all
