Very smart old school credit ppl with a key focus on valuation.
Good reputation within the credit HF world, the fund has been around forever.
They went all in in March 2020 (there were a few articles on BBG that mentioned them) and had a very strong year.
No idea on the interview process, just knew a few ppl who worked there in the past.
Good luck!
Would you happen to know anything about comp and stuff and how is the experience like for a junior analyst (<3yrs exp) there from any conversation with your friends? Just wondering before going through the process
Sorry but I have no idea about junior comp, only familiar with senior ppl there.
My view is as an old school credit fund, they pay a more stable bonus rather than the extreme highs / lows associated with L/S equity.
Best of luck!
Lol I see you applied on go buyside too
yea man you going through the process too?
Yea, good luck. Looking to switch funds?
Bump - curious to see what other people think of that test and if any interview invites have gone out yet
First interview tomorrow via Zoom. Applied on GoBuySide but never took the test.

following. any other thoughts on fund reputation and performance?
Middling performance with a lot of cap arb across the book
How have they performed in line with other distressed funds? know anything about culture, comp, or fund reputation / history?
Not really a distressed fund. It’s more of a fundamental credit shop with some cap arb flavor
Bump. Any thoughts on Caspian relative to other credit HF’s as a first buy side gig after IB?
Also, for those that interviewed, any guidance on structure and difficulty?
Are these guys more event equity or distressed, or both?
