Centerview London: reputation and Vault ranking?

I am getting the impression - from this forum, Vault and speaking to people, that Centerview is doing really well in the US. But how about in London? They seem to be missing from the Vault guide's European ranking, a guide which I otherwise have the impression is well regarded.

From looking on LinkedIn, their London office has approx. 20 people (including administrative staff), and only 5-6 analyst - small office, obviously (although I don't think that's bad). In 2014 they - according to Mergermarket's "League Tables for 2014 Financial Advisors and M&A Trend Report" - advised on 18 deals worth 72 billion USD (this number is for Europe only). Completing 3 deals/year on average as an analyst seems amazing to me - am I wrong here?

Does anybody know why Centerview London is not getting any more love (general prestige)? Are they too small/new or just not considered that great in London? I would just be surprised by the latter due to their deal flow and some of the deals they have been on.

Thanks for your input!

Centerview Partners in London (Originally Posted: 07/24/2012)

Hi guys,
Do you know how the recruitment at Certerview Partners works in London? Do you know if they use a recruiting / headhunting firm or something like that?
Their website does not state any application period and it looks the same since 2010 so I was wondering if I can try to cold call someone on LinkedIn or if I should just rely on the online application.
I'm really interested in this firm and I'd prefer not to waste this recruitment season sending my application in the wrong way...

I'm grateful that I have two middle fingers, I only wish I had more.

it'll probably be through the cornell partnership

I don't think they have HRs working on recruiting. As Oreos said, they probably use The Cornell Partnership or a similar firm to do all the sourcing and recruiting.
I will rely on the their website than and keep monitoring efinancialcareers. Does anyone have information about when they usually recruiting (read "best time to send the CV on their website)?
Btw thanks for the info.

So what' the story on Centerview Partners in London? (yes I have used the search function, no it did not bring up anything too interesting)

From what I gather they are more pharmaceutical/biotech focused than the NY counterpart. To what extent are they placed on the deals that the NY office is focused on? What is their reputation in the city (from what I have seen, the usual PE exit ops are there but perhaps more limited). Is pay in line with the NY office as well?

Thanks for any insights in advance

I've seen them hire aggressively recently, not sure if comp is inline with NYC (guess you're hoping for a 50k sign-on). Other than that, seems to be very focused on combining M&A and Strategy consulting (I've heard that their interviews are kind of split in-between typical IBD stuff and consulting type cases).

I'm talking about liquid. Rich enough to have your own jet. Rich enough not to waste time. Fifty, a hundred million dollars, buddy. A player. Or nothing.
