_CFA Study Materials
Hey guys,
Just a quick question. I searched on here but didn't really find that many good answers. In your opinion, what are some of the better (or best) materials to use to study for the CFA?
Thanks in advance.

Got 90th+ percentile on L1 just using CFAI and then MM videos on a couple harder concepts.
Second this. Currently study for June lvl 1 and using this as my routine.
MM helps explain the concepts visually, just need to put it on 1.5x speed - he drags his way through the videos sometimes.
CFAI for ethics and econ, Schweser for the rest.
Books: Schweser exclusively Question Bank: CFAI Online Mocks: CFAI Online and Schweser (some old editions which I got for free from a friend) Study package: none
Schweser Books. Think you can find the pdfs for them here.

I'm on level 2 right now. Passed level 1 mostly on the back of my undergrad experience without using outside materials or reading most of the CFAI materials. I'm using Kaplan, and it seems to be pretty good so far. I think using Kaplan to get through the curriculum, doing its quizzes etc. along the way, and supplementing with end-of-chapter questions from the CFAI (as well as their practice tests and other practice materials) is a good strategy.
After passing Level III, I wrote up my strategy for all of the exams including the materials I used: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/how-i-passed-the-cfa-exams-back-…
Good luck! It'll be worth it in the end - at least it was for me.
Appreciate it!
I took and passed Level I in June 2015. For reading materials I used primarily Schweser with official CFAI curriculum supplementing the ethics sections. I also used Schweser and CFAI practice questions and mock tests.
I used this book to help me schedule and prep my test prep, I recommend it.

Schweser is the way to go. I also recommend buying their "Secret Sauce" notes. You'll likely forget a lot of the things you read in Book 1 by the time you're done with the last book, so the notes are an easy way to refresh yourself. Also if you have to look up a section on the fly, it's much easier with a small book / packet in hand than carrying all your books everywhere. I usually read it along with the book, and add in any notes in the Secret Sauce margins I think are relevant that aren't already in there.
I used exclusively Schweser materials, usually scored at a steep discount, in digital form, from gentlemen on the internet. A buddy and I paid 50 bucks between the two of us for all PDFs of the Schweser textbooks, the secret sauce, and question banks every year. Printed in the office after hours for a hardcopy reference.
Thanks for all the advice guys! Really appreciate it.
One more question. Do you guys know if schools would offer at least some of these materials for free to students? I know they offer things like the Vault Guides but not sure if they would offer this.
You might want to look up some torrent site to download SCHWESER MATERIALS FOR ALL 3 LEVELS.
Just gonna' leave this here and go ;-)
