Chances at consulting job?

Hi All,

I'm wondering about my chances to get a consulting job. Here are my stats below:
GPA 3.15 Chem Major (Major GPA: 3.55) Top 50 US Liberal Arts school
Work Experience:
-2 years, 2 promotions (Business Development Rep -> Supervisor of Department -> Associate BD Manager). This wasn't a traditional BD job so I was responsible for sales, client development, business proposals, strategic planning, study experiment design, project management, and some other duties. This is for a biotech company with lots of big pharma clients.
-1 year, real estate salesperson experience in nyc
GMAT: 740
White male, but from european background. I speak the european language fluently.

My main question is would I have a chance at a top consulting (stretch) or even T2? I'd like to focus on life sciences/pharma consulting since my long term goal is corporate development at a pharma company, but until then I want to dive into consulting. Would I have a better chance getting into an M7 or even NYU Stern MBA and then trying for a consulting job?

Any input on this would greatly help me. Thanks!

You look like a pretty good fit for the 10-15 MBA programs (Ross, Darden, Fuqua, etc.) with the back half of the M7 as reaches. Consulting firms don't do a whole lot of non-campus recruiting, so going for your MBA might be the better path. You can get into MBB/T2 from a top 15 MBA program, but the better the program obviously the better your chances (i.e. Kellogg > Tuck > Darden). Good luck!
