Choice of MSF program to attend. Goal BB IBD in NYC (emphasis on NYC, if not IBD)

I absolutely agree. Everyone's needs and goals are widely different so it's clear there's no consensus of "best" schools. Though, I was trying to clarify in my intro that my goal is to get back to NYC where my family is and land a IBD gig at a BB there. If not IBD then IMD and if not BB then MM is fine.

My order of importance is on NYC first and then BB second, then IBD third.

Given this, which of the schools you think would be best for NYC BB recruiting specifically? Even if it's Middle Office? Also factoring in cost (obviously Baruch is much cheaper than other options).

Thank you! Do you think Villanova would also be selling myself short? On one hand it's an established MSF program, but on the other hand it's general "brand" isn't as strong as let's say, Georgetown or Vanderbilt. Do you agree that it might be better at getting myself to a MM bank but that I should stay clear of 'Nova if I want to be at a BB in NYC?

Also, @TNA" if you have any thoughts let me know. You seem very knowledgable and I look forward to hearing your opinions.

My thoughts are be careful who you listen to.

Vanderbilt has the best placements. Villanova places entirely in NYC. Rochester is fine if you're international. Boston college is a good brand, but they focus on their PT program.

Georgetown does have a FT program. It's on their campus. They rolled it out two years ago.

All the rest are fine, but you will be on your own when it comes to networking and finding a job.
